The DP World India Championship will be co-sanctioned with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and feature the largest prize fund ever for a DP World Tour event in the country. As part of the new ‘Back 9’ phase on the 2025 Race to Dubai, it also signals the Tour’s return to Delhi Golf Club for the first time since 2016.

The three-time Ryder Cup player sees the move as a reflection of DP World’s ongoing investment in the sport, especially golf. “It’s absolutely vital that we head to that part of the world.
“DP World have been such an important figure in professional golf for a long time, and something like this shows they continue to grow and progress the game.”
