Defending champion, Cian Hart, successfully retained his Club Championship title at Shrajah Golf and Shooting Club, UAE, following two impressive rounds in testing, blustery conditions.
Hart opened with a composed one-under-par 71, placing himself firmly in contention just two shots behind overnight leader Evan McGrath, who set the early pace with an excellent three-under-par 69. Adam Smith and Ramli Sulaiman also remained within striking distance after strong opening rounds.
In round two, Hart produced the round of the day, matching his opening score with another one-under-par 71 to finish on a 36-hole total of 142, securing a convincing seven-shot victory and becoming back-to-back SGSC Club Champion.
Speaking after his win, Hart thanked AJ Gargash Group for their continued support of the event and praised the SGSC team for presenting the course in outstanding condition throughout the weekend.
Evan McGrath finished runner-up on 149, with Adam Smith claiming third place a further shot back on 150.
The event also featured the 6th edition of the Net Club Championship, which continues to grow in popularity among the membership.
Eyyani Sarath delivered an excellent performance to capture the title with a superb six-under-par 66. Shagir Mohammed secured second place with a strong 67, while Club Captain Hanief Sallie completed the podium positions with a 68.
