Cian Hart claimed his maiden Club Championship victory at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club (SGSC) over the weekend, topping a strong field of members with a composed performance across the 36-hole event.
Now in its 17th year, the annual event — sponsored by Gargash Group — took place on 12–13 April and brought together a diverse field of competitors, from rising talents to seasoned players, all vying for the prestigious title.
Hart posted a two-over-par round in Saturday’s first round, leaving him five shots adrift of early leader Sami Butt, who opened with a brilliant three-under 69. Other contenders included Josh Vardy and Ramli Sulaiman.
Undeterred, Hart returned on Sunday with the round of the day — a steady level-par 72 — to finish with a total score of 146, securing a three-shot win. In his winner’s speech, he thanked Gargash Group for their support and praised the SGSC team for the excellent course conditions.
Josh Vardy took second place, while first-round leader Sami Butt finished third.
