The International Series returns to Morocco for its fourth edition this week – gaining fresh momentum with Visit Morocco on board as presenting partner for the first time and a USD $2,000,000 prize pot on offer.

The new partnership with Visit Morocco is through the Moroccan National Tourism Office and aligns with their objective of positioning elite sport with tourism promotion and highlighting Morocco as a premier golf travel hub in the region and beyond.

The tournament has made phenomenal progress since its launch in 2022, when Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond triumphed. This has been made possible by the fantastic support from the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association – both chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid – reflecting a shared vision to grow the game in the North African nation.

Major champions and LIV Golf captains Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia are set to front a star-studded field. They will be part of a strong 18-player LIV Golf contingent for the event, which will return to the iconic Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from 11–14 June.

It will be the third event of the season on The International Series – the upper echelon of tournaments on the Asian Tour that provide a pathway to the LIV Golf League.

Check back on Sunday for the full breakdown.

The International Series returns to Morocco at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam this week with a compelling storyline at its core: the reunion of all three champions as the event stages its fourth edition.

Alongside defending champion Scott Vincent, former winners Ben Campbell (2024) and Jazz Janewattananond (2022) are both back in Rabat, adding further depth and narrative weight to one of the standout stops on The International Series calendar.

Victory in Morocco was Ben Campbell’s second in The International Series – Paul Lakatos/Asian Tour.

For New Zealand’s Campbell, the return carries added significance. It was his strong performance in Morocco in 2024 that first brought him onto the radar of LIV Golf’s RangeGoats GC, led by captain Bubba Watson, eventually paving the way to his place on the LIV Golf stage.

This year, Campbell gets the chance to compete alongside his captain in that very field.

“Bubba has asked me about the course and the event a few times before we arrived,” said Campbell. “It’s great to have him here this week, not only for the tournament, but for Moroccan golf and The International Series in general.

“That’s one of the really cool things about The International Series and LIV Golf, getting more LIV players involved in these events. The more top names that come out and play, the more everyone benefits in terms of experience and exposure.

“I’m sure a lot of the players here will learn a lot from playing alongside Bubba, and it’s also great having Sergio here this week and a number of other top players. It’s really exciting for the event overall.”

<img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-79263" class="size-full wp-image-79263" src="https://golfdigestme.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Jazz-Janewattananond-pictured-with-the-International-Series-Morocco-trophy-on-6-November-2022-at-Royal-Golf-Dar-Es-Salam.-Picture-By-Asian-Tour.jpg" alt="Jazz Janewattananond pictured with the International Series Morocco trophy on 6 November 2022 at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.
For Thailand’s Jazz, Morocco holds particularly special memories as the venue of his first and only International Series victory to date. He returns this year buoyed by a return to form, including a strong showing at the Singapore leg of the Series in April.

“It feels great,” said Jazz. “Coming back to a venue where you’ve won before is always special. It’s a really good tournament, honestly one of the best set-up events of the year, and I’d say this is one of my top three golf courses on The International Series schedule. It’s always nice to come back here and play.”

Reflecting on his recent performances, he added: “Singapore was a really good confidence boost. It could have gone my way, and of course it could have been a little better, but overall it showed me that my level is getting better and better again. I just need to keep doing the right things and hopefully I can get over the line soon.”

With one of the strongest fields of the season assembled in Morocco, Jazz also believes the depth of talent allows him to play with freedom rather than pressure.

“There are so many great players here that you’re not thinking, ‘I absolutely need to win this week,’” he said. “For me, it’s more about coming here, playing good golf, and hopefully playing well enough to improve my ranking and build momentum again.”

While established stars Anirban Lahiri and Gaganjeet Bhullar lead India’s challenge at International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco this week, one of the country’s brightest emerging talents is quietly building a compelling case of his own.

Karandeep Kochhar arrives at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in the midst of one of the most consistent runs of his professional career, having recorded three top-10 finishes in just five Asian Tour starts this season.

The 26-year-old’s impressive form includes a tied-ninth finish at last week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic, which came off a tied-fifth result at International Series Japan and fourth place at the Philippine Golf Championship. That strong run came after he claimed victory at the Egypt Golf Series Red Sea Open on the Asian Development Tour.

Reflecting on his season so far, Kochhar believes his results are a fair reflection of the progress he has made in his game.

“I think I’ve been playing really well this year. I’ve only played five events so far and I’ve already had three top-10 finishes, so that’s definitely encouraging,” said Kochhar.

“Even in the other events, I felt like I was playing solid golf. In New Zealand, I just had a poor Sunday, and in Singapore I wasn’t playing my best, but I still managed to make the cut, which I was happy about.”

That consistency has been tested over the past three weeks as Kochhar competed throughout Morocco’s unique professional golf swing, progressing from the Asian Development Tour and Asian Tour to this week’s International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco.

Having played all three events, the Indian admitted the stretch has been physically demanding, particularly in the challenging coastal conditions at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort.

“It’s definitely been a bit taxing. The last two weeks at Mazagan were tough because it’s such a windy golf course, and playing in those conditions takes a lot more energy out of you,” he said.

“I’m definitely feeling a little tired, but I keep reminding myself how important, and potentially life-changing, this tournament is. I’ll have a long break after this week, so it’s worth giving everything I’ve got.”

Kochhar’s performances have also made him the leading Indian player in the events held in partnership between the Asian Tour and the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL), a role he takes considerable pride in.

“I think it’s awesome. There’s so much talent on the IGPL Tour and in Indian golf in general, so it was great to see the IGPL and Asian Tour come together for this partnership,” he said.

“I’m fortunate that I’ve been able to do well and finish as the top Indian player recently, and I definitely take pride in that. Of course, you always want to finish high on the leaderboard overall, but there’s also a part of me that wants to be the best Indian finisher each week.”

This week’s International Series field also gives Kochhar another opportunity he has been relishing, spending time alongside Indian golfing icon Anirban Lahiri.

The pair were already sharing some friendly competition before tournament week officially began.

“We actually had a little seven-hole match today. Me and Aryan (Roopa Anand) versus Anirban and Shaurya (Bhattacharya),” Kochhar said with a smile.

“Aryan and I were two down with two holes to play, but I birdied the last two holes to halve the match. I was pretty happy about that.”

Kochhar also values the chance to learn from one of India’s most accomplished golfers.

“Honestly, it’s amazing having Anirban here. It means a lot for all of us when someone with his experience comes out to The International Series and spends time playing practice rounds with us.

“He has so much knowledge from playing on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf over the years, and you can learn so much just being around him. Right now, he’s carrying the Indian flag in global golf, and he’s an amazing role model — not just as a player, but as a person too.

“We’re all really happy to have him here, and hopefully I get to play some more rounds with him this week.”

The US$ 2 million event, taking place from 11-14 June in Rabat, features Major champions Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia, LIV Golf stars Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace, defending champion Scott Vincent, and leading players from the Asian Tour.

For Lguirati, the opportunity arrives at the perfect time. One of Morocco’s most recognisable professional golfers, he has been a regular presence since the inaugural International Series Morocco in 2022 when he became the only local player to make the cut and finished tied-28th against a stacked international field.

He returns in some of the best form of his career after recording a personal-best finish on the Asian Tour, tying for 13th at last week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic in El Jadida.

“It’s a great feeling and a real privilege; The International Series Morocco is a very special tournament for me. “ said Lguirati.

“As a Moroccan player competing on the Asian Development Tour, this is exactly the kind of opportunity I am looking for. The field is very strong, the level is high, and playing here at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam always gives me extra motivation.”

Lguirati believes the recent run of professional tournaments in Morocco has created meaningful opportunities for local players to develop and compete at a higher level.

“It means a lot, the recent events played in Morocco, in partnership with the Asian Tour and IGPL, have created a strong dynamic for local professional players and across the region.” he added.

“For us, it is very important to have opportunities to compete at home against international fields, gain experience and be exposed to a higher level of competition. Earning a place in International Series Morocco through this pathway shows how valuable these events can be.

“It also reflects the momentum created by the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation by bringing tournaments of this level to Morocco and creating the right conditions for Moroccan players to compete, progress and connect with major international circuits.”

Joining Lguirati in the field are six fellow Moroccan talents eager to make their mark on home soil.

Among them is El Mehdi Fakori, who made the cut at last week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic and finished two-under-par for the tournament. Fakori also competed at International Series Morocco in 2025 and returns with valuable experience at this level.

Ayoub Id-Omar earns another opportunity after making his International Series debut in 2024. He was Morocco’s leading performer at the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars, finishing tied-31st at four-under-par.

Amateurs Hugo Trommetter and Youssef El Hali continue their progression after regularly representing Morocco throughout 2024 and 2025, while fellow amateurs Nizar Bourehim and Abderrahmane Fakori will make their International Series debuts. Bourehim arrives as winner of The Hrnčiar Championship, where Fakori recorded an impressive eighth-place finish.

The United Arab Emirates will be represented by Ahmad Skaik, while Qatar’s Daniil Sokolov returns to The International Series stage. Still only 15 years old, Sokolov made headlines when he competed in his home International Series event as a 13-year-old in 2024.

Their participation forms part of a unique three-week professional golf swing in Morocco, beginning on the Asian Development Tour before progressing through last week’s Asian Tour event at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, where Sweden’s Charlie Lindh claimed victory.

The journey culminates in Rabat, where local and regional hopefuls will have the opportunity to compete alongside some of the biggest names in world golf on the global stage of The International Series.

Defending champion Scott Vincent will return to Rabat next month alongside former winners Jazz Janewattananond and Ben Campbell to headline a world-class field at International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco, as the Zimbabwean looks to continue the momentum from one of the most successful periods of his career.

Set against the iconic backdrop of the Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from 11–14 June, the US$2Million tournament will once again welcome a strong mix of LIV Golf players, proven International Series champions and the Asian Tour’s leading contenders for another marquee week on the global golf calendar.

Vincent has established himself as one of the defining success stories of The International Series, becoming the first player to win The International Series Rankings twice following triumphs in 2022 and 2025. His victory in Rabat last season, coupled with a runner-up finish at the Jakarta International Championship, propelled him to the top of the Rankings, a position he held through the remainder of the season to earn his return to the LIV Golf League.

The 33-year-old has carried that momentum into 2026 with a string of impressive performances on LIV Golf, including a fourth-place finish at LIV Golf Mexico City and a tied-eighth result at MAADEN LIV Golf Virginia, where he was called up by HyFlyers GC to replace six-time Major champion Phil Mickelson.

“I’m excited to be back in Morocco, and it’s an honour to defend my title,” said Vincent. “It’s always special returning to an event that played such a big role in my career. I’ve been working hard on my game and saw some really positive signs in Mexico, while continuing to learn and improve each week, so I’m looking forward to testing myself again in Rabat.”

Victory in Morocco was Ben Campbell’s second in The International Series. Paul Lakatos/Asian Tour.

Joining Vincent in the field is 2024 champion Campbell, who returns to the event that helped elevate him onto the LIV Golf stage after catching the attention of RangeGoats GC captain Bubba Watson.

The New Zealander enjoyed a standout 2024 season on The International Series before moving to the League, recording three additional top-five finishes including runner-up at the Link Hong Kong Open and fourth-place finishes at the Black Mountain Championship and PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond, the inaugural International Series Morocco champion in 2022, also returns to Rabat as one of the Asian Tour’s most accomplished players. The seven-time Asian Tour winner and 2019 Order of Merit champion recently showed strong form with a tied-third finish at the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times.

The former champions will also be joined by a strong contingent of LIV Golf Wild Card players who have built impressive résumés through performances on The International Series and Asian Tour.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-99357" class="size-full wp-image-99357" src="https://golfdigestme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/2024-BNI-Indonesian-Masters-Asian-Tour-International-Series-1.jpg" alt="Richard T. Lee – 2024 BNI Indonesian Masters (Image supplied by Asian Tour)

Among them is Korea’s Richard T. Lee, who made headlines earlier this year after taking Bryson DeChambeau to a dramatic playoff at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore, where his runner-up finish became the highest-ever result recorded by a LIV Golf Wild Card player. Lee has also enjoyed significant success on The International Series, highlighted by victory at the 2024 BNI Indonesian Masters before going on to win the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event.

Japan’s Yosuke Asaji returns to the Series in Morocco following a tied-12th finish at his home event earlier this year, building on a breakthrough 2025 campaign that saw him won the Singapore Open and finish runner-up in The International Series Rankings before stepping into a full-time LIV Golf role.

Joining him in the field is Filipino star Miguel Tabuena, another player who has thrived on The International Series stage. His emotional victory at International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus on home soil helped propel him to third in last year’s Rankings, before later earning a full-time LIV Golf opportunity for the 2026 season.

Sweden’s Bjorn Hellgren will also tee it up in Rabat following a breakthrough season highlighted by victory at the 2025 Saudi Open presented by PIF and a runner-up finish at the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event, alongside a strong tied-ninth result at the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times earlier this year.

The field is further strengthened by the two latest winners on The International Series this season, Australia’s Travis Smyth and Korea’s Jeongwoo Ham. Smyth claimed victory at International Series Japan earlier this year, while Ham arrives in Morocco as the current Rankings leader following his wire-to-wire triumph at the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times, a victory that also secured his place at The 154th Open.

Major champions and LIV Golf captains Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia are set to front a star-studded field at International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco, as one of the flagship events on The International Series returns for its fourth edition at the iconic Red Course of Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from 11–14 June.

The US$2 million tournament will once again showcase some of the biggest names in world golf, bringing together Major champions, LIV Golf stars, Asian Tour top performers and rising talents for a landmark week in Morocco and the wider MENA region.

Bubba Watson – LIV Golf – Isaiah Vazquez

Two-time Masters champion Watson returns to The International Series following his debut appearance at the 2024 BNI Indonesian Masters. The popular American left-hander enjoyed a decorated PGA Tour career that included eight victories alongside two World Golf Championships titles, before taking on the role of captain of RangeGoats GC on LIV Golf.

Watson has continued to make his mark on the LIV Golf League, highlighted by RangeGoats GC’s team victory at LIV Golf Singapore in 2023, while also recording a career-best runner-up individual finish at LIV Golf United Kingdom in 2025 alongside multiple top-10 finishes last season.

“I’m looking forward to playing a golf course that really challenges you off the tee,” said Watson. “From what I’ve heard, it’s a little narrower than what we’re typically used to in the US, so there’ll be a real emphasis on driving and positioning, which is something I enjoy.

“Peter Uihlein told me he loves the golf course and the resort, and obviously Ben Campbell has some great memories there after winning the event not too long ago. I’ve spoken to both of them and they had nothing but positive things to say about Morocco.

“My whole family will be there as well, so I think it’s going to be a really fun week.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-82055" class="size-full wp-image-82055" src="https://golfdigestme.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Sergio-Garcia.jpg" alt="First place individual champion Captain Sergio Garcia of Fireballs GC celebrates after winning the playoff of the final round of LIV Golf Andalucía at Real Club Valderrama. (Photo by Jon Ferrey/LIV Golf)

Rabat will also welcome 2017 Masters champion Garcia, one of Spain’s most accomplished golfers of his generation. The Fireballs GC captain has recorded 11 PGA Tour victories, including The Players Championship in 2008, alongside 16 DP World Tour titles during an illustrious global career.

Since joining LIV Golf in 2022, Garcia has led Fireballs GC to seven team victories while also capturing individual titles at LIV Golf Andalucía in 2023 and LIV Golf Hong Kong in 2025. The 46-year-old has also made his mark on The International Series, highlighted by a tied-fourth finish in Macau last year, further strengthening his reputation as one of the game’s most consistent global performers.

Adding further firepower to the field is South Africa’s Branden Grace of Southern Guards GC, one of the most accomplished international players competing in Rabat. Grace is a nine-time winner on the DP World Tour, a two-time PGA Tour champion and boasts six Sunshine Tour victories on home soil.

The 37-year-old has enjoyed a strong run of form on LIV Golf this season, highlighted by a tied-third finish at LIV Golf South Africa alongside top-10 finishes in Riyadh, Adelaide and Mexico City. He has also consistently performed on The International Series, recording a tied-fifth finish at the 2025 PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers after placing tied-sixth at the same event in 2024.

“I’m very excited to return to Morocco. The last time I was there, I had a great experience. It’s such a cool place,” said Grace.

“It’s my first International Series start of the season, which is exciting. I’ve been playing good golf over the last year, especially towards the end of the 2025 season, and one of my goals has always been to win an International Series event.

“Hopefully this week in Morocco can be the one. I’m really looking forward to being back.”

Torque GC’s Abraham Ancer will also add significant star power to the field as the Mexican continues an impressive run of form that has included top-five finishes at LIV Golf Riyadh and LIV Golf South Africa this season.

The winner of LIV Golf Hong Kong in 2024, Ancer also claimed his maiden Asian Tour title at the 2023 PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers and has consistently challenged on The International Series with strong finishes in England in 2023 and India in 2025.

Anthony Kim of 4Aces GC brings further intrigue following one of golf’s most talked-about comeback stories, which culminated in an emotional victory at LIV Golf Adelaide earlier this year. His tied-sixth finish at LIV Golf Virginia also helped secure 4Aces GC’s third team victory of the season to maintain their position atop the current LIV Golf team standings.

Fireballs GC rising star Josele Ballester returns with his captain for his second International Series appearance of the season following an impressive tied-third finish at the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times last month. The Spaniard arrives in strong form, with three top-10 finishes on LIV Golf this year, highlighted by a podium finish in Mexico City.

India’s Anirban Lahiri of Crushers GC also joins the world-class lineup as one of the country’s most accomplished golfers, with 18 professional victories to his name, including seven on the Asian Tour. Since joining LIV Golf, Lahiri has played a key role in Crushers GC’s success, contributing to the team’s runner-up finish in the 2025 season standings and victory at LIV Golf South Africa earlier this year. His standout individual performances include runner-up finishes at LIV Golf Virginia in 2025 and LIV Golf Andalucía in 2024.

The International Series returns to Morocco for its fourth edition, gaining fresh momentum with Visit Morocco on board as presenting partner for 2026. International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco will be held from 11–14 June at the iconic Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, serving as a key stop on the global pathway to golf’s elite levels.

Since its debut in 2022, the event has received strong backing from the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, reflecting a shared vision to grow the game, and provide local players with opportunities to compete on the global stage.

Working closely with the local government and in partnership with the Asian Tour, The International Series has built a structured development pathway for golf in Morocco: from First Stage Qualifying School and the Asian Development Tour through to full Asian Tour events, culminating this season in International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco.

This end-to-end pathway is central to the event’s significance, both as a competitive platform and as a long-term investment in golf both locally and across the MENA region.

This year’s partnership with the Moroccan National Tourism Office, under the Visit Morocco banner, marks a significant step forward, aligning elite sport with tourism promotion and positioning Morocco as a premier golf travel hub in the region and beyond.

The partnerships follow the recognition of the Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam as a firm favourite among players, having been voted the Asian Tour Players’ Choice Course of the Year in 2025, underlining its status as one of the leading championship venues on the circuit and highlighting Morocco’s growing prominence as a global golf destination.

Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, said: “This year marks our fourth tournament in Morocco, and the progress we’ve seen with each staging has been remarkable. Each return has raised the bar for competition while contributing to the continued growth of the game in the country. Our decision last season to commit to two further years reflects Morocco’s strategic importance to the Series, and we are delighted to welcome Visit Morocco as presenting partner in 2026 as we continue to expand the event’s impact.

“Through this tournament, we are proud to bring some of the biggest names in golf to Morocco, while creating meaningful opportunities for local players to compete, learn, and elevate their game in a truly global environment.”

He was made to work extremely hard for it though by impressive young Australian Cameron John after a gripping final day duel on The Serapong at Sentosa Golf Club.

Ham closed with a three-under-par 68 to finish on 16-under and beat John by two shots. John shot a 66 while Spain’s Josele Ballester (66), Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond (68) and Tomohiro Ishizaka (70) from Japan shared third – a distant seven behind the winner.

The result also secured Ham and John places in this summer’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, as the tournament is part of the Open Qualifying Series.

The Korean’s performance is one of the most impressive in the 57-year history of Singapore’s National Open, considering a place in the game’s oldest Major was on the line as well as valuable points on The International Series Rankings.

The weather also had a big part to play today when after three days of oppressive heat and humidity, the skies darkened and at 11.47am play was stopped for just over three and a half hours due to lightning.

Ham started the day with a four-shot lead over John and when the interruption occurred they had completed seven holes with the Korean three ahead.

When play resumed at 3.30pm, Ham picked up where he left off by holing a 10-foot putt for par on the eighth that helped settle the nerves and was typical of his performance on the putting surface all week. He had another testing four-footer for par on the next which he slotted home.

It was then that John really put the pressure on with a succession on big birdie putts. The Australian holed a 25-footer for birdie on nine meaning Ham was two ahead with nine to play.

Ham lipped out for birdie on the 10th before John closed the gap to one when he made a brilliant birdie on the 11th, draining a putt from 15 feet.

The 13th then produced high drama when Ham assumed the upper hand by holing his bunker shot for a birdie. It looked like he would move two ahead with John facing a 40-footer for birdie. To everyone’s astonishment the Australian holed his putt to keep the pressure on his opponent.

The action continued at a pace when they both hit their tee shots close on the par-three 14th. Ham holed his from 12 feet before John followed him in from seven feet to keep the gap at one.

They both faced makeable birdie putts on the ensuing hole, but both missed, John first from 18 feet then Ham from a slightly shorter range. On the par-three 17th again they both missed makeable birdie putts meaning Ham led by one with one to play.

On the par-five 18th Ham sealed the deal when he reached the back of the green in two and two putted for birdie, while John made par – although he nearly holed his chip from just off the green for a three.

Said Ham: “Honestly, I sweat a lot and struggle in the heat, so I just kept thinking: play quickly, get through it, and get back to the hotel as soon as possible.

“Of course you still need to hit good shots, but because it was so hot, I actually wasn’t overthinking the golf too much. That probably helped me stay relaxed. I just wanted to finish quickly, shower, and lie down under the air-conditioning.”

Ham becomes the second Korean to win the event. Younghan Song was the first in 2016 when he beat then world number one Jordan Spieth from the United States by one, also on The Serapong.

“My putting was really good today. I’d say the putter saved me for around six shots. Thankfully, the putter worked well and helped me keep the momentum going,” added the Korean.

It is the Korean’s first win on the Asian Tour, where he has only played 24 times since turning professional eight years ago, with 16 of those on home soil.

The impressive golfer’s textbook golf swing has previously brought him four wins on the Korean PGA Tour, the most recent being two years ago at the Golfzon-Toray Open.

For John it was yet another fine performance by one of Australia’s rising stars. He finished second on the 2025/26 Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit, thanks to three wins, while today marks his finest overseas performance.

Missing out on the title was made up for by getting into The Open.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling,” said the 23-year-old.

“I’ve wanted to play in Major championships my whole life. I came close back home in Australia, so to come over here and get it done means a lot. It’s something I’ll never forget.

“My game feels like it’s in a really good place. Today was a different test mentally. The Open spot was definitely on my mind, but I felt like I managed it well. Looking back, it’s been an incredible year and I’m really grateful for the people around me who support and help me.

The Asian Tour moves swiftly on to the GS Caltex Maekyung Open next week – for one of Korea’s most prestigious events.

The tournament, which is celebrating its 45th edition, will be played at Namseoul Country Club, south Seoul.

Korea’s Doyeob Mun warmed up perfecting for his defense of the title today by shooting a fine 65 today to climb in to a tie for sixth.

Ryan Ang closed with a 66 to finish as the leading Singaporean, in joint 12th.

The 57th edition of Singapore’s National Open was staged this week on The Serapong for the 15th occasion, while it welcomed The Business Times on board as presenting partner for the first time.

The Business Times is part of Singapore Press Holding (SPH) Media, an iconic institution in Singapore. The partnership marked the first time that a flagship news publication had sealed such a deal with the National Open. They aligned their sponsorship with their 50th anniversary celebrations.

The tournament was last played at Sentosa Golf Club in 2022, when Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana beat Tom Kim from Korea and Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa by two strokes.

LIV Golf young guns chased The Open berths in Singapore.

The Singapore Open was part of The Asian Tour’s International Series – the upper-tier level of events that provided a pathway to the LIV Golf League.

This year’s Singapore Open also paved the way for qualification to the 154th Open as part of the Open Qualifying Series.

The leading two players, not otherwise exempt, were rewarded with places in the game’s oldest Major, which was played at Royal Birkdale from 16–19 July.

From the US $2 million prize purse on offer, the winner received US $360,000.

Korea’s Jeongwoo Ham quashed any doubts that he would be unable to keep the lead in the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times for the fourth straight day by completing a famous wire-to-wire win today at Sentosa Golf Club.

Korea’ s Jeongwoo Ham enters the weekend of the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times as the surprise halfway leader at Sentosa Golf Club.

Here’s the prize money breakdown for each golfer at the 2026 Singapore Open presented by The Business Times

He carded a three-under-par 68 on the formidable Serapong Course to move to 10-under for a two-shot lead over Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond.

Jazz, the champion here on this course in 2019, returned a 66, while Gaganjeet Bhullar from India and Japan’s Tomohiro Ishizaka share third place, another stroke behind.

Bhullar and Ishizaka both shot 68s – in the fourth event of the season on the Asian Tour, which is also part of The International Series.

Ham started the day in a share of the lead with Thailand’s Ekpharit Wu and maintained yesterday’s momentum while Wu fell away, carding a 75.

The Korean has only ever played in seven Asian Tour events outside of Korea, with a best finish of joint 29th in the International Series Japan two weeks ago.

The 31-year-old is on course to drastically improve upon that this week.

“It wasn’t like yesterday, today I didn’t make many mistakes,” said Ham, who has been a professional since 2018.

“Compared to yesterday a lot of the putts didn’t go in, but I played patiently. Feeling very satisfied now.”

He made four birdies today, including on the par-five 18th, and dropped one shot, on 15.

He said: “At critical moments I made the putts and made use of the chances. My irons weren’t as good, my accuracy not great but I think I made putts at critical moments.”

Despite not having tasted victory on the Asian Tour he is a proven winner on the Korean PGA Tour, where he has won four times. The most recent of those came in the Golfzon-Toray Open in 2024.

Jazz once again showed he is back to his best and playing the kind of golf that won him this title seven years ago enroute to securing the Asian Tour Order of Merit title.

“It’s great coming back here,” said the seven-time winner on the Asian Tour.

“I’ve been wishing and waiting for the Singapore Open to come back here. The last time I was back here was the 2020 edition. I didn’t come here for the 2022 edition. But just been missing this place a lot, the golf course is always in great shape. I mean, it’s one of the best golf courses in Asia, and it suits my eyes, so I can’t really complain.”

When he won here he finished with a winning total of 18-under helped by a pair of 65s at the weekend.

He’ll need something similar to claim the title for a second time but is in confident spirits.

“Still not in the autopilot mode, but the tee shots kind of fit my eye here even if it’s a little different off the tee or little different wind. When I’m standing on the tee, it still looks quite nice to me. There are some courses which just do not suit me at all, but this golf course does, and I like the shape of it,” he said.

Bhullar, a 11-time champion on the Asian Tour, menacingly moved into contention, making two birdies in the last three.

“I’ve not been playing so many events. But I mean, it feels good to be on the first page of the leaderboard, definitely feels good,” he said.

“I thought I played really well last year, but the scores were not coming at the right time. So probably this week, I’ll try to do my routine and process and try and give my 100%.”

Australian Jack Thompson fired his second 68 and is in outright fifth, four behind the leader.

Amateur star Brayden Lee and his compatriot Ryan Ang are the leading Singaporeans, in a tie for 19th on three under.

Lee, who finished as the leading local player last year, came in with a 68 and Ang a 69.

Said Lee: “I’m lucky to be an adopted member here, a sponsored player, so I do spend most of my time around here. It’s a really tough course, because it’s very demanding off the tee and the greens are huge and undulating. So, you know, you never know what you get.”

His team-mate in the Singapore amateur team Troy Storm also survived the cut, which was one over. Storm carded a 71 to finish on the cut line.
