When describing what Bryson DeChambeau did to Winged Foot in the U.S. Open, England’s Matthew Fitzpatrick said he made a “bit of a mockery of the game.” Well, Matt, it appears you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Late Tuesday evening, a video of DeChambeau swinging for the moon began making the rounds on social media. At the beginning of the clip, which was posted by DeChambeau’s longtime coach Michael Schy, DeChambeau can be seen bouncing around like a boxer getting himself ready for Round 1. “TWO OH EIGHT,” he screams, which we assume is him pumping himself up to get to 208 mph ball speed:

This is … something. AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” playing in the background, 18 hanger-ons watching and/or filming him, Bryson screaming like a madman. Are we sure he’s prepping for Augusta National and not a World Long Drive contest? Judging by the numbers he posted over the weekend, it’s starting to feel like the latter:

The man is drunk with power. Imagine he takes one over the corner on No. 13 at ANGC and does a gutteral scream after? Sheesh. It could be the end of the Masters as we know it.
