LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka has announced that he is to play in the DP World Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in just a matter of weeks’ time.
Koepka, winner of two US Opens and three US PGA Championships, says he cannot wait to come back to Scotland, “I’ve been fortunate to play in several Dunhill Links, as well as two Open Championships at St Andrews over the years, and these trips are always highlights to my year.”
More on Brooks: “The more involved you get, the more you realise it’s a business and more of a job”
Brooks, already a winner in Scotland when he was competing on the European Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, won automatic promotion to the then European Tour after winning the Scottish Hydro Challenge at Spey Valley, his third win of the season aged just 23.
Here is a classic clip of him cruising around India on a tuk-tuk from his fond Challenge Tour days!

Plus, this gem of him remembering his time spent on the developmental tour, including that memorable win in Scotland.
The last sole DP World Tour-sanctioned event that Koepka played in prior to joining LIV Golf was (ironically) the 2020 Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers where he finished in a tie for 17th. Four years on, the seven-time DP World Tour winner is looking forward to making a return to Scotland once again.
“I love Links golf and St Andrews is my favourite course in the world. I could play there every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it,” said the Smash GC skipper.
“The atmosphere on and off the course at the Dunhill is fantastic,” said Brooks. “I was able to play with my father one year and my good friend and caddie, Ricky Elliott, another. Those two weeks will always be very special to me.”
Brooks will be joined at the home of golf with fellow LIV golfer Tyrrell Hatton, including DP World Tour members Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Billy Horschel and Bob MacIntyre in the US $5 million event.
