Brooks Koepka has become the unlikely face of a new DP World Tour promotional campaign this week in France.

The five-time major winner, who accepted an invitation to play the $3.25 million FedEx Open de France at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, appeared front and centre in a video promoting the Tour’s latest initiative alongside Alex Levy, Nicolas Colsaerts and Will Besseling.

Koepka, now 35, carved his way through Europe via the HotelPlanner Tour (Challenge Tour) and DP World Tour over a decade ago. Now no longer a member of the DP World Tour, he has spent the past two weeks competing back on the DP World Tour at the Amgen Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship via invites, but his presence in a campaign designed to showcase the DP World Tour will definitely raise a few eyebrows.  Agreeing to front a DP World Tour promo signals the weight of that invitation to France, especially since he joined LIV Golf in 2022.

The video highlights the Eagles For Good initiative, a partnership with FedEx Cares that ties tree planting to every eagle made during the week. While the programme itself underlines the Tour’s growing emphasis on sustainability, you can check it out below:

When it came to the course, Koepka opened his campaign just outside of Paris with a two-under 69 on Thursday, though a double bogey on his closing hole cost him a chance at something lower.
