Brooks Koepka didn’t hang around long in County Kildare after his return to the DP World Tour ended early with a missed cut at the Amgen Irish Open.

The five-time major winner looked on track to make the weekend after an opening round of one under, but an eight-over 80 on Friday meant it was an early exit.

Before crossing the Irish Sea for this week’s BMW PGA Championship, where he’s in the field on an invitation, the 35-year-old was spotted on Dublin’s Camden Street enjoying a taste of Ireland’s nightlife.

The sighting came courtesy of DP World Tour winner Dan Brown’s official “fan club/backroom squad”, who bumped into Koepka at Frank’s and managed to grab a selfie with him.

The good fortune seemed to carry over to Brown (who didn’t partake on Saturday night), as he closed out his week with a two-under-par 70 on Sunday to seal another top-10 finish ahead of the DP World Tour’s flagship Rolex Series event at Wentworth.
