There are good years and great years and then there are Scottie Scheffler years. The year 2024 has been one for the ages, or pages, for those writing his history. For instance:

His PGA Tour earnings this year are $62,228,357, or $3.3 million per tournament, as Kyle Porter of CBS Sports notes here on X, among other staggering minutiae:

Justin Ray, a statistical savant, meanwhile, noted that Scheffler needed less time between his first and 13th victories on the PGA Tour than Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Johnny Miller. Ray further noted that, including bonuses, Scheffler earned $829,710 per round he played on the PGA Tour this season.

He earned $25 million for winning the FedEx Cup, which is unofficial money. But he set a PGA Tour in official money earned, $29,228,357.

And to top it off, his scoring average, 68.0 for the season, was the lowest in PGA Tour history.
