Subtlety is something Augusta National does well, so you won’t be surprised with the manner it recently messaged its holiday greetings via social media.

Yes, Christmas is here, which is also about the time the club hands out early invitations to the next year’s Masters.

Who should be in line to receive a little something in the mail in the next few days? While no official list is published yet, we compiled this early look at who we believe had already earned a spot in the field working off the presumption that the qualifying criteria for the 2025 event will mirror what was used in 2024.

To date, the number who have qualified is 102. That includes past champions unlikely to play next year and two amateurs who turned pro and are no longer eligible. The number also grew this week when the final Official World Golf Ranking of 2024 was revealed, with nine golfers who were already believed to have qualified for the event in OWGR’s top 50.
