Despite not having his contract extended with LIV Golf’s Fireballs, Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra, is still remaining positive in securing a last-minute spot on the LIV Golf League for the upcoming 2025 season.

Having dealt with injuries at the start of the year, the 24-year-old is looking to either impress the other remaining teams on LIV Golf that have positions to fill or play his way in by either topping the International Series Rankings, with strong performances in the remaining two events of the season or win the LIV Golf Promotions event in Riyadh next month.

“My contract is up, and I am out of Fireballs,” he said, “but there are other teams, and my agent is talking and helping me through.”

“I know I have a couple of meetings in Saudi, so I will hopefully find out more there,” he added.

“I played the first five events this season in pain, and it was hard for me to compete, which was a downer for me – competing against the best in the world injured is very difficult.

“But after that I have been playing quite solid and everyone out there knows me, and knows I am a solid player and when my putts go in, I go low

“I think I am a trustful guy and had six good tournaments out of the 13 we play, with five affected by injury. But that’s golf, it shows how hard the competition is and how hard LIV Golf is when you are playing some of the best players in the world.”

Sergio Garcia confirms Eugenio Chacarra will not be returning to Fireballs

If Eugenio doesn’t find a place to play back on LIV Golf in 2025, where does that leave him eligible to play?

With limited starts on offer, after taking the decision to join LIV Golf, the former Oklahoma State University Alumni isn’t ruling out a run on the Asian Tour next year, “I’m happy with the way my game is trending, I’m still only 24 and I know I’ll get up there again, whether here (on The International Series and Asian Tour) or LIV Golf or the PGA Tour. It has been a struggle for two years but now I can play again I can compete as much as possible.

“I am grateful it is back to normal; I can now get back in shape and get my game in shape and I’m excited for sure because I love the game of golf and I love to practice and get better and now it is about getting better every day.”

Eugenio is competing this week in the International Series Qatar at Doha Golf Club and gets his campaign underway tomorrow morning at 11:15 am local time alongside the Range Goats Thomas Pieters and LIV Golf Wildcard Player Anthony Kim.
