Golf can be contagious. Sometimes in a participatory way—driving by a golf course on a nice day makes you want to go play, for instance—but also in terms of performance. If you’re playing in a group where everyone’s chopping it around and the vibes are bad, chances are you’ll catch that cold too. The same can be said for the opposite, however. If everybody’s throwing darts and rolling in putts, you might find yourself doing the same.

Just ask Angel Hidalgo, Rasmus Hojgaard and Jon Rahm. The trio were paired together at the Andalucia Masters on Friday, when Hidalgo drained a 30-foot bomb for birdie on the 7th green. Moments later Rahm followed that with a 29-footer before Hojgaard rounded things out with ho-hum 21-footer. Check out the group’s incredible back-to-back-to-back birdies below.

The trio have been playing great golf of late. Hidalgo outlasted his playing partner Rahm in a playoff at the Spanish Open a few weeks ago, while Hojgaard won the Irish Open back in September. Rahm, meanwhile, took home the 2024 LIV Individual championship following his first season on the tour. So perhaps this isn’t the aberration it appears. Perhaps it’s just three guys who are independently en fuego right now. Or maybe, just maybe, teamwork really does make the dream work.
