Looks like Rory McIlroy is enjoying his time in front of the camera these days.

With the TGL (Tomorrow’s Golf League) now less than 100 days away from its launch, Rory McIlroy has released a trailer for a brand new documentary with himself as the lead man!

The five-part docu-series looks to have the same fly-on-the-wall feelings of Netflix’s Full Swing, but this time it follows Rory and his whole team of the Boston Common Golf, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama as they prepare for the upcoming new league.

One of six teams in the TGL, Boston Common Golf is part of Fenway Sports Group, a global sports, marketing, media, entertainment, and real estate company anchored by three iconic sports clubs, the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

FSG’s portfolio includes two of the world’s most historic venues, Fenway Park and Anfield Stadium, NASCAR’s RFK Racing, NESN, Fenway Sports Management (FSM), and Fenway Sports Group Real Estate (FSGRE). Heavy hitters!

“I love the game of golf,” Rory says in the trailer. “And now I want it to grow, become more accessible, and help bring it into the future.

“So I decided to go all in, and join in launching a new team golf league called TGL.

“Seems, pretty straightforward, right? So over the last couple of years, we invited a documentary crew to follow me and the entire team as we created, from scratch, a new TGL team for the wildly passionate sports fans of Boston.

“This is all the ups, the downs, and ups again of that journey. Who knows where it could go?”

The series will debut in mid-December and air on GolfPass, NESN and Golf Channel and is being funded by Comcast Business, who has a close relationship with the PGA Tour and pays out a $40 million purse to the top ten in the FedEx Cup standings prior to the season-ending playoffs.

A bit more on Boston Common Golf if you didn’t know, solo artist and singer-songwriter Niall Horan and his investment group Greenbridge Ventures has taken an ownership stake in Boston Common Golf alongside Fenway Sports Group and Rory McIlroy’s Symphony Ventures.

In addition to his investment in the team, Horan will also serve as an ambassador for Boston Common Golf, one of six inaugural TGL teams representing Boston and New England.

Plenty of people getting involved with just a couple of months to go!!
