The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Under 16 Girls Team have successfully defended their gold winning medals at this years Pan Arab Golf Championships in Tunisia.

Eleven countries are taking part in the Pan Arab Golf Championship with contestants from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Tunisia, and the UAE.

The Under 16 squad consisting of Sara Ali, Aasiya Saleem, and Anca Mateiu took the top spot in their division at The Residences in Gammarth, Tunisia and the trio also took the spoils across their individual division with Anca’s rounds of 66, 66, and 70 earning her a commanding seven-shot victory. Teammate Aasiya took second spot with scores of 66, 73, and 70 and Sara rounded out the podium with rounds of 72, 69, and 70.

The medals didn’t stop there for the UAE team. Playing in the Ladies Team Division for the UAE were Intissar Rich, Jamie Camero, and Faye AlBlooshi who captured the silver spot with Morocco’s Sofia Essakali claimed the top spot in the Ladies Individual, as Intissar secured second place and Jamie third.

The Boys Under 18 and Under 16 Divisions will commence this Friday 27th through to Sunday 29th September, 2024. With the Boy’s Under 13 Division 36-hole event which will be played Saturday and Sunday.
