The PGA Tour is branching out further into the YouTube world of content creators by announcing the inaugural “The Creator Classic” on Wednesday August 28th.

The Creator Classic is scheduled for the same week as the PGA Tour’s season-ending Tour Championship, the culminating event of their FedExCup Playoffs.

Sixteen of the world’s biggest content creators confirmed so far are Tyler Toney from Dude Perfect, the Bryan Bros, Fat Perez from Bob Does Sports and Good Good creators Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh.

The Good Good guys are no strangers to being in the spotlight here in the Middle East, having competed in (and won!) both Pro-Am’s on the DP World Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club in both 2022 and 2023.

The Creator Classic is being played on the newly renovated back-nine at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta and will consist of eight holes of gross stroke play, then with a playoff between the top four finishers. Foursomes will be announced the day before the event.

The club has undergone a dramatic full-scale restoration following the 2023 Tour Championship to return the course to its original Donald Ross layout, as well as reflect the changes in the modern game.

“With the YouTube golf creators, that’s a burgeoning area for our sport and we want to make sure we’re bringing their audience to us and us to them,” said Laura Neal, the tour’s EVP/Brand Communications.

“The important part, at the end of the day, is that we listen to what our fans say.

“How did these new offerings resonate? What did they like and what can we improve? That’s crucial to our planning for next year.”
