There’s nothing better than being able to celebrate a good finish in a tournament, than with your closest family and friends by your side.
But be aware, that celebratory meals can get quite pricey and depending on who you are celebrating with, it can always get out of hand and end up in some expensive establishments, leaving a price tag.
That style is not for Dan Brown.
Coming off a tie for 10th place at Royal Troon in the 152nd Open Championship, Dan treated himself and his best buds, who had been with him for the week to the creme de la crème of places in the U.K. to celebrate…. Wetherspoons.
(If you haven’t heard of Wetherspoons, it’s a U.K. pub chain, that let’s just say, won’t break the bank).
On the Monday after Dan’s maiden major performance, the 29-year-old Yorkshireman was out celebrating with his closest friends, and roommates for the week, on his TikTok account. Rightly so!
Dan’s TikTok account, which he shares with his mates, was taken over by them for the week in Ayrshire. Showing us a glimpse into what the DP World Tour winner got up to when back at the house most evenings, giving us some great content!

The likes of a “spoof” photo shoot in the kitchen were called for when Dan was the leader after Thursday’s opening round. Plus, plenty of makeshift cricket in the driveway to pass the time in the evenings. It looks like it was a lad’s golfing trip! That’s the best part! It’s not something to expect when you are in contention at the Open.
@beersforebogeys Controversial decision here at the jeanfield oval unfortunatly hawk eye hasnt been introduced yet at the venue!! #golf #charleyhull #golf #spoons #gout @Dan Brown ♬ Follow us for more Oldschool Anthems – OLDSCHOOL ANTHEMS
When being interviewed by the media multiple times post-round, Dan would say he wouldn’t be letting the moment in the spotlight go to his head and he would just be his normal self. Which he did, just relaxing and having fun with his mates.
That’s what we love about Dan! He’s just a normal guy, who is really good at golf!

We presume he collected the bill for his mates in the pub, seeing as he earned $317,533 last week! (his biggest cheque to date).
