Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club is in golf’s global limelight this week as the DP World Tour is in town for the inaugural Dubai Invitational.

The club is in preparation for Rory McIlroy’s attendance in the opening event of the ‘International Swing’ in which features a star-studded lineup of 60 professional golfers and 60 amateurs, running from January 11-14 in the brand-new Pro-Am event which will see a 72-hole strokeplay competition played alongside a three-day team Pro-Am, with Sunday featuring professionals only.

But before that all gets underway at the club, there was the very important matter of the Club Captain’s Drive-In this past weekend.

As the club says thank you to 2023 Lady’s Captain Shiba Wahid and Men’s Captain Gene Cha, members of the club all met on the 1st tee box at the Creek to watch the incoming Captains hit drives down the first fairway in the annual ceremony.

The Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Lady Captain Janet Kim, Men Captain Kevin Savage and Junior Captain Samara D’Silva for the upcoming golfing year.
