Organisers are calling for local volunteers to play a crucial role in the smooth running of the tournament with a minimum two-day commitment requested. The team of volunteers will be needed in the run up to the event, as well as the competition days — this will encompass a full week from Monday to Sunday.
Aspiring young golfers as young as 14 years old can volunteer to be a part of the event, working alongside some of the biggest names in the sport for an invaluable experience and to get an unrivalled insight into what it takes to run an event of this nature.
Simon Corkill, Executive Tournament Director of Dubai Desert Classic, said: “The Dubai Desert Classic is always hugely indebted to the team of volunteers who help make the event what it is — and 2023 will be no exception. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans young and old to witness first-hand what it takes to deliver an event of this magnitude and play their part in delivering another iconic tournament. We can’t wait to bring our volunteer teams together and look forward to welcoming each and every person in January.”
