The South African started the day with a five-shot lead after shooting a sensational 63 on Saturday, which earned him $50,000 for the Course Record presented by Nexo.
The 22-year-old soon pulled away from the chasing pack, with six birdies on the front nine handing him a 12-shot lead at the turn.
Further gains on the 12th and 13th stretched his advantage to 14 strokes and raised the prospect of Tiger Woods’ 26-year-old record for the largest winning margin on the DP World Tour – 15 shots – being within reach.
A first dropped shot of the day on the 14th made breaking the record seem unlikely but he gave it a good go, finishing with back-to-back birdies to fall one shot short.
His consolation prize was the record winning margin for a maiden title on the DP World Tour, surpassing the previous mark set by Tiger Woods when he won by 11 shots at the 1997 Masters Tournament, as he secured a life-changing first victory at this level with a score of 28 under par for the week.
“I have no words. I have worked so hard to get into this position and it’s so rewarding to finally see the results of it. The last eight or nine months have been such a struggle just to build myself onto a platform where I know I can give myself a chance to win and to end up in… pic.twitter.com/TiVT37IrNv

Premlall’s week’s work has not only secured him the winner’s cheque and a nice payday for breaking the course record, but he also leaps to 26th on the 2026 Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World, up from 157th.
Fellow South African Shaun Norris finished alone in second on 14 under after his closing 68, while Spaniard Alejandro del Rey, Frenchman Oihan Guillamoundeguy and South African JC Ritchie were a further shot back at 13 under.
