England’s Laurie Canter has confirmed he has chosen to play on the LIV Golf League in 2026, rather than accept his PGA Tour card that he earned through his 7th-place finish on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai Rankings.

The 36-year-old has signed on with the Majesticks GC, as he joins Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Sam Horsfield in an all-English line-up.

“Joining Majesticks GC is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that has helped shape LIV Golf from day one,” said Canter. “The league’s growth has been remarkable and my experience in the league has led me to become a more complete player and a multiple winner on the DP World Tour.

“To return to the league with Majesticks GC is a huge honour, and they bring a standard of excellence, ambition, and identity that really resonates with me. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building.”

Team Principals James Dunkley and Oliver Banks, who is Canter’s manager, shared their excitement about the signing, emphasising both Canter’s qualities and the alignment with Majesticks GC’s long-term vision.

“Laurie is an extremely strong competitor who elevates everyone around him,” said Dunkley. “His dedication to preparation, his professionalism, and the consistency he’s shown at the highest levels make him a perfect match for what we’re building. We’ve been a huge admirer of Laurie for a long time, and the timing for 2026 couldn’t be better.”

Banks added: “Beyond his talent, Laurie brings a mindset and personality that align with our long-term vision for the Majesticks. He connects with fans, brings humility and hunger, and he represents the modern direction of our team. We believe he’s going to thrive in this environment and help push us toward the results we’re determined to achieve.”

Canter will open his 2026 campaign for Majesticks GC 4-7 February  at LIV Golf Riyadh presented by ROSHN Group, the season opening event. With strong team unity and the arrival of a battle-tested competitor, Majesticks GC enters the year with the ambition to compete at each stop on the 2026 schedule.
