The DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai season continued this week with the 78th edition of the Omega European Masters, taking place at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, from 28–31 August 2025.
The $3.25 million tournament holds a key place on the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai, a season that concludes on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai, UAE, in November.
Event number two on the Back 9 also gives players a final chance to impress Ryder Cup Team Europe Captain Luke Donald with one last strong performance in the hope of earning a captain’s pick for Bethpage Black.
The field for the 2025 Omega European Masters was as strong as ever. Two-time tournament winner and 2022 US Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick was joined by fellow two-time winner in Crans-Montana and last week’s Betfred British Masters champion Alex Noren. Fellow 2023 US Open Champion Wyndham Clark was making his debut on the iconic alpine course this year.
Masters Champion and 2015 Omega European Masters winner Danny Willett returned to Crans-Montana alongside defending champion Matt Wallace, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who made his 35th appearance at the event, and Danish twins Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard.
The Omega European Masters has a rich legacy as one of the DP World Tour’s most historic tournaments. This year marks the 78th staging of the event at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana.
The prize money for the 2025 Omega European Masters was $3.25 million, the same purse as for the 2024 edition. The champion, South African Thriston Lawrence, took home a cheque worth over $550k as he became a two-time winner of the Omega European Masters after recovering from a disastrous start to post a closing 66 and secure a two-shot victory in 2025.
