Klein, the recent winner of the Junior Dubai Desert Classic and the inaugural ProDreamUSA UAE Open, commented: “TaylorMade offers me long-term support. We have been working together for a long time, fine-tuning various details that may affect my career path.
“We are talking about a long-term partnership, which will continue even when I decide to turn professional.”
Klein will make his debut as a TaylorMade player in Europe at the 95th Portuguese International Amateur Championship, held from February 12-15 at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort. A strong performance could be the first step towards a nomination for the Junior Ryder Cup this September, one of his main goals.
The European team for the Junior Ryder Cup will consist of six boys and six girls. While half of the team will be selected by captain Stephen Gallacher, the other three boys and three girls will be chosen through performances in nine selected tournaments.
