The most interesting man in golf headlines a stellar cast for the 30th anniversary edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic starting on Thursday.

Bryson DeChambeau also arrives at Emirates Golf Club as arguably the hottest player in golf with four victories in his last 13 PGA Tour starts.

The 25-year-old American “Mad Scientist” will be joined at Emirates Golf Club for the $3.25 million European Tour event by “30 years of Ryder Cup heroes”.

Step forward 2017 champion Sergio Garcia, 2007 winner Henrik Stenson, Tommy Fleetwood, Ian Poulter, Tyrrell Hatton, Thorbjørn Olesen, plus victorious 2018 captain Thomas Bjørn who famously held off Tiger Woods for the 2001 Dallah. Bjorn’s Paris vice-captain Lee Westwood and Ryder Cup legends of old Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Colin Montgomerie, both former champions at Emirates G.C., are also confirmed starters, along with four-time major champion Ernie Els and his amateur nephew Jovan Rebula.

Haotong Li has also confirmed his return to Dubai to defend the famed Dallah trophy which the Chinese 23-year-old claimed by a stroke from McIlroy last season to become the first Asian winner on the Majlis course.
