Exhausted, crabby, upset, loud, sore, mad, blubbering. We could be describing a toddler mid-temper tantrum or perhaps an especially unhappy golfer amid a tough day on the course. Either way, both have the same descriptives, which is a connection that tour pro Adam Schenk put to good use while parenting a cranky kid this week.
AJ is having a toddler tantrum face down on the floor and Adam goes “It’s ok buddy, sometimes I want to cry too but then I have to go tap in for double bogey.”

“AJ is having a toddler tantrum face down on the floor,” writes wife Kourtney Schenk. “And Adam goes ‘It’s ok buddy, sometimes I want to cry too but then I have to go tap in for double bogey.’”
That’s a perfect response from the tour pro and we hope this helped calm little AJ down. We’re sure that sometimes after a missed bogey putt, the elder Schenk would like to lie on the ground and throw a fit for all to see, but he puts his head down instead and keeps on going. Sure, it would be great TV, but the life lesson is more valuable for us all.
Adam Schenk is an above-average putter, above the field average when it comes to putts per round, but he still cards the occasional double-bogey from time to time. According to StatMuse, the 32-year-old had 27 this season, along with a total of 203 bogeys. That’s certainly something to cry about.
Just a month ago, the Schenk progeny lost his cool when his dad was in a 3M Open featured group. His “nervous breakdown” blew up online and AJ and his mom eventually ended up watching Ms. Rachel instead. It’s unclear what started this particular temper tantrum, but perhaps AJ was being forced to watch his dad golf again.
