Last week, Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted one of their flagship Pro-Am events, the Jumeirah Golf Estates Pro-Am by Titan Wealth International.

A total of 30 professionals teamed up with 90 amateurs in a team stableford format (best two from four), playing the Fire course in the first round and the Earth course in the second.

After 36 holes, PGA professional Nakul Paliwal led his team – Gerhard Vorster, Jane Vorster, and Teresa Sheepwash – to victory by four shots. Their winning score comprised 92 Stableford points on the Fire course and 87 on the Earth course, securing a win with a total of 179 points.

In second place was PGA professional Brendan Els and his team – Benjamin Tomkins, Bradley Valentine, and Richard Bernans – who totalled 175 points over the two days. They posted an impressive 91 points on the Fire course but managed only 84 on the Earth course, where the windy conditions posed a challenge during the final round.

Third place went to PGA professional Tom Hanson and his team – Martin Issott, Oliver Turnbull, and Steve Drake – who amassed 174 Stableford points. Their scores of 83 on the Fire course and 91 on the Earth course highlighted an impressive second-round surge.

In the professional stroke play event, PGA professional Jamie Roach claimed victory with a first-round score of two under par (70) on the Fire course, followed by a superb three under par (69) on the Earth course. His five under-par total secured the win by two strokes.

Finishing second at three under par was PGA professional Matt Rice, who shot an even-par 72 on the Fire course before making a bogey-free, three under par 69 on the Earth course, an impressive display of precision, particularly in the challenging conditions.

For the second time that evening, PGA professional Brendan Els took the stage, securing third place with rounds of two under par (Fire) and even par (Earth), finishing at two under par overall.

Fourth place was shared by PGA professionals Dylan Burke and Matt Brookes, both finishing at one over par. Brookes posted an outstanding three under par (69) in round one but followed it with a four-over par (76) on the Earth course, leaving him tied for fourth. Burke, meanwhile, was steadier, with rounds of level par and one over par.

Dan Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer of Titan Wealth International, addressed the audience during the prize presentation:

“We would like to thank all the members and guests for taking part over the last two days and for their continued support of the annual Jumeirah Golf Estates Pro-Am. It has been a great event, and we look forward to returning next year to continue growing this flagship event. We must also recognise the incredible work of the agronomy team here at Jumeirah Golf Estates – both the Fire and Earth courses were in superb condition and provided a great test of golf for professionals and amateurs alike.”
