Golf fans got an early Christmas present last year with the announcement that the Skins Game would return in 2025. And with the extra Thanksgiving treat approaching, we’re finally finding out more details of what exactly will be on the menu.

The Skins Game will take place on Black Friday, returning 17 years after the last edition. And it will feature a foursome of PGA Tour stars who were all recently involved in the Ryder Cup.

Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, Keegan Bradley and Tommy Fleetwood will participate in the event that will take place at Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Nov. 28.

“We’ve taken up the mantle to bring back The Skins Game, and reclaim its rightful place on the sports calendar,” Chad Mumm, co-founder and president of Pro Shop, which is collaborating with PGA Tour Studios and Propgate Content, said in a statement. “By keeping the traditional format intact and adding some creative twists, we’re giving fans an experience that honours the past while delivering pure, high-stakes competition where the pressure builds with every shot.”

One of those twists will be a “reverse purse” in which each player starts with $1 million, but will have that amount adjusted based on winning or losing a hole. Each hole will still have a dollar value.

In case you’re looking for an early favourite, you might consider Justin Thomas. The two time PGA champ consulted with Jack Nicklaus on the design of Panther National, which opened for play November 2023.

The Skins Game was introduced in 1983 at Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale as an unofficial money event on the PGA Tour and was held every year through 2008. The 2025 Skins Game will be broadcast on Black Friday at 9 a.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
