The Junior Asian Golf Academy (JAGA) and the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) successfully co-hosted the JAGA International Amateur Open at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, with Ananyaa Sood and Rayan Ahmed coming out on top of their divisions.
The JAGA International Amateur Open featured girls and boys aged 13 to 23. Winning the U13 Girls’ Division was Anushka Gupta, in the U15 Girls’ Division the Best Net award went to Sofia Zbiri, while Ayesha Gupta was Runner-Up, and Ananyaa Sood was the division winner.
In the U18 Girls’ Division, Anuradha Chaudhuri emerged as the winner. For the U23 Ladies’ Division, Hannah Alan won Best Net, Lara El Chaib was Runner-Up, and Jamie Camero took the top spot.
Luke Brown won Best Net in the U13 Boys’ Division, with Sebastian Cook finishing as Runner-Up and Sevn Laurijsen as the overall division winner. In the U15 Boys’ Division, Sebastian Sales claimed the Best Net title, Ralf Nuretdinov was Runner-Up, and Alexander Rushika was the division winner.
In the U18 Boys’ Division, Abdulla Salman secured the Best Net title, Mohammad Skaik was Runner-Up, and Rayan Ahmed was the division winner.
Jonathan Selvaraj won the U23 Men’s Division, while Arav Shaw was Runner-Up.

2025 JAGA International Amateur Open Winners – Emirates Golf Federation
The event, which qualified for WAGR points, culminated in the Overall Results, where all divisions were combined to determine the overall boys’ and girls’ champions. Rayan Ahmed claimed the Boys’ overall title, taking control during the second round with an impressive 66, five under par. He maintained that momentum to finish with a total score of 203, seven under par.
In the Girls’ division, Ananyaa Sood shot rounds of 67, 67, and 71, for a total of 205 – a five under par victory. This put her eight shots ahead of the Runner-Up. Both Ananyaa and Rayan will receive invitations to the upcoming UAE Clutch Pro Tour event later in the year.
Following the event, JAGA Co-founder John Laroche said, “As we get one step closer to opening our campus in the UAE, this past weekend was a true celebration of the young talent that this region has to offer. Our goal is to develop the sport while providing an elite student athlete pathway for all inspiring golfers.
