LIV Golf today announced that live Friday tournament coverage and non-live past tournament coverage will air non-exclusively in US airports through an agreement with ReachTV, the largest streaming television network serving travel audiences in North America.
The partnership is part of ReachTV’s aggressive expansion into sports programming that includes a seven-year deal with the NFL, plus multiple original series in production with the National Basketball Players Association and more. ReachTV will distribute LIV Golf tournament coverage to 2,500+ airport screens inside airports that have generated more than $2 billion in monthly revenue, plus 500K hotel rooms across North America, reaching more than 50 million monthly travellers. ReachTV averages a 70-minute viewer dwell time.
“This partnership with ReachTV provides additional opportunities for fans on the move to follow LIV Golf’s supercharged action, including live coverage of Friday competition in bars and restaurants throughout North America,” said Will Staeger, LIV Golf Chief Media Officer. “Our league is continually looking for innovative ways to connect the sport that we love with new audiences, and this partnership will give travellers more chances to catch many of golf’s biggest stars in action.”
“Adding LIV Golf programming is another step forward for ReachTV as we work to create the streaming television network of the future. Our innovative business model creates more equitable partnerships for our partners and content creators while serving our audience of travellers with the live sports and premium entertainment they crave,” said Lynnwood Bibbens, ReachTV Founder & CEO.
ReachTV will air live Friday coverage of LIV Golf London, teeing off this Friday at 2:00 p.m. BST (9:00 a.m. EDT) in Hertfordshire at Centurion Club, the site of last year’s LIV Golf Invitational Series launch. Non-live coverage of previous LIV Golf tournaments will air on weekdays and during non-tournament weeks.
LIV Golf’s 12-team, 48-player roster of world-class golfers is led by the likes of five-time major champion and 2023 PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, reigning Open Champion Cameron Smith, World Golf Hall of Famer and six-time major winner Phil Mickelson, two-time major winner Dustin Johnson, 2020 US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia.
