Following a fantastic event in September over the Earth course, the Lincoln Dubai Golf Pro-Am Series returned to Jumeirah Golf Estates on Saturday, 14th December 2024, this time on the stunning Fire course.

The event saw 24 professionals and 86 amateurs compete in a Pro-Am Team Event, alongside an Individual Strokeplay competition for the professionals.

Kieren Pratt, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) representative of the Emirates PGA, expressed his appreciation: “It’s been a pleasure to return to Jumeirah Golf Estates for this Series. Both the professionals and amateurs have clearly enjoyed their day on the Fire course. A special thanks to the greenskeeping team here at Jumeirah Golf Estates for their continued dedication. The course looked absolutely superb today.”

In the Team Event, PGA Professional Brendan Els, representing Jumeirah Golf Estates, led his team of Kevin Voegeli, Bradley Valentine, and Andrew Turnbull to victory with an impressive 95 Stableford points. This victory marked a back-to-back win for Els’ team in the Lincoln Dubai Golf Pro-Am Series, having previously triumphed over the Earth course in the September event. “Winning another team event at my home club, Jumeirah Golf Estates, is a brilliant feeling,” Els said after the prize-giving ceremony. “It’s a very special place here, and winning just adds to the privilege of competing alongside our members.”

The runner-up spot in the Team Event went to PGA Professional Connor Graham from eGolf Megastore and his team of Chris Hoskin, Callum Smithson, and Daniel Hess, who scored 91 Stableford points. Hoskin posted an impressive 37 Stableford points on his own ball, likely inspired by the ball-striking of Graham, who shot a solid one over par, 73.

James Jackson’s team, comprising Chris Deacon (General Manager of Al Tayer Motors), Marcus Samut, and Dallen Olsen, secured third place with a steady 90 Stableford points.

In the Individual Professional Strokeplay Event, PGA Professional Tom Hanson from Trackman claimed victory with a bogey-free round of five under par, 67. Hanson’s steady start with six consecutive pars was followed by a remarkable display of skill as he birdied five of his last 12 holes, securing a three-shot margin of victory. “It was a fantastic day on the Fire course,” Hanson said. “I’m thrilled with the win and to have played such a solid round.”

Freddie Price, PGA Professional from Al Zorah Golf Club, claimed runner-up honours in the Professional Event with an impressive score of two under par, 70. Price showcased his precision with five birdies, three of which came in the opening four holes.

PGA Professional Damien Scott from Al Hamra Golf Club rounded out the top three with a score of one under par, 71. Scott’s strong back-nine of three under par, 33, separated him from a tie of four players in fourth place, all at level par, 72. Those tied for fourth included Matt Rice (Golf Kraft), Marlon Swarts (Club Lab Golf), and Brandon Moodley (Tommy Fleetwood Academy, Jumeirah Golf Estates).
