Following the adverse weather and closure of Emirates Golf Club on Thursday for the opening day of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the doors will be open on Friday to the general public from 7am. However, there will be no public parking on-site and spectators are urged to use public transport.

A statement from the organisers read: “Due to the inclement weather reported, Hero Dubai Desert Classic has made minor adjustments to the guest experience on Friday only. There will be no public parking available at Emirates Golf Club and spectators are strongly advised to use public transport when visiting.”

UPDATE: Round 1 re-start: For those that have started Round 1, players should be in position ready to play at 10:00.
Round 1 start: For those still to tee off Round 1, tee times have been delayed to 10:20, please see attached revised draw.

The following advice is recommended:
The Al Khail Metro Station, located directly adjacent to the Emirates Golf Club, will run from 05:00 Friday morning to 01:00 Saturday morning.
Check the RTA website for various bus routing options to site.
RTA & Careem taxis will have a drop-off point directly outside Emirates Golf Club. Careem is offering discounted fares for journeys to and from the Emirates Golf Club throughout the tournament (Code: DDC23).
