The UAE’s Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) has confirmed its squad of nine players competing in this week’s Pan Arab Ladies and Juniors Championship in Cairo, Egypt.
Hosted by the Egyptian Golf Federation, the event is sanctioned by the Arab Golf Federation and is being contested across Madinaty Golf Club and Katameya Dunes.
The championship is hosting affiliated members and teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Competing for the UAE in the 16th edition of the Pan Arab Ladies Championship are Intissar Rich, Sara Ali Abubaker, and Hannah Cheryl Alan.
Representing the UAE in the 24th edition of the Pan Arab Juniors Championship will be Rashed Al Naqbi and Abdulla Kalbat in the U-18 Division, and Abdulla Salmeen, Mohammed Tabet, and Abdulla Darwish in the U-16 Division.
In the 5th edition of the Pan Arab Championship for the U-13 Boys Division, Zayed Ali Abubaker will compete as an individual player.
The U-13 Boys and Girls Divisions will be played over 36 holes, while the Ladies, Girls U-16, Boys U-18, and Boys U-16 championships will be contested over 54 holes. As is customary in all Pan Arab Golf Championships, teams of three will represent each country, with the two lowest scores counting each day. Winners will be named for Best Individual and Best Team.
Travelling with the team are EGF Vice President Abdualla Alhashmi, Secretary General Kahlid Mubarak Al Shamsi, and UAE National Team Head Coach Faycal Serghini.
