Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club were the big winners on the 59club Middle East and Africa’s big night that sadly couldn’t be.

The Dubai Golf facility scooped five titles at the ‘59club’s inaugural Service Excellence awards, including Golf Operations Team of the Year and Golf Manager of the Year won by Michael Major.

Due to be celebrated at a gala dinner at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa this month, the Golfbreaks.com supported awards were instead announced online due the outbreak of COVID-19 and resulting social distancing restrictions.

The awards recognise the most successful venues across the region in sales performance, staff attitude, internal processes and facility standards. They are decided by criteria voted on via a mystery shopper that were captured and benchmarked across 18 golf venues in the region during 2019.

Gold, Silver and Bronze service excellence flags are also awarded to venues that have delivered the most consistent golf experiences throughout 2019, rewarding the overall team effort across each element of the 59club mystery testing report.
