It remains to be seen how far Tiger Woods will take his latest comeback, but at the very least, the 14-time major champ seems intent on keeping us in the loop as he works his way toward returning to competitive golf. On Sunday, Woods provided another video of his progression, this time showing off his swing with the driver for the first time. Check it out:

The swing might look a bit different from Woods’ prime, but there was something awfully familiar about the clip: the red shirt. On a Sunday, no less. Some things never change.

Woods first shared a video of him hitting pitch shots in his backyard on Aug. 31. Then a slow-motion, “smooth” iron swing in early October and then a clip of a full-swing iron shot and a vintage club twirl at a golf clinic last week. And now, he’s feeling good enough to hit drivers. Well, at least one driver.

Woods, 41, was an assistant captain at the Presidents Cup two weeks ago at Liberty National, where at times he looked like someone antsy to get back out on the course, but he also offered the somber admission that he could “definitely” see a scenario in which he doesn’t return to competitive golf.

Woods, who underwent a fourth back surgery in April, last played competitively at the Dubai Desert Classic in February, withdrawing after the first round. Woods made his return from another back surgery at last year’s Hero World Challenge. So far, he hasn’t been added to the limited-field event in December, but two spots remain open. . . and he is the tournament host. . . And he is Tiger Woods. . . And nobody would mind seeing him wear that Sunday red again this year — especially, when it actually counts.
