Experience five-star hospitality while spending a day on the green

Sponsored content: It may be picturesque, but trudging across a golf course all day between swings is hard work by anyone’s standards. Luckily, we’ve found the perfect place for you to rest those tired feet after.

Backswing got you down? Does your mate owe you a round after you sunk an awe-inspiring hole-in-one on the 12th? Maybe you’re not a golfer at all; you just fancy an escape to a green oasis for a cold beverage and a delicious meal one weekend afternoon.

This is where Falcon Terrace comes in.

The restaurant and outdoor cafe offers a premium dining experience and a chance to take in a full meal beside the fairway, or a quick bite between holes right in the middle of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

You’ll be able to follow in the footsteps of the greats – the Kaymer’s, The Fowlers and the Fleetwoods – who swung their clubs over the course mere weeks ago at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and probably sank a cold one from a table nearby.

But the best part is – you don’t even have to be a member of the ultra-lux golf club to check it out.

The hotspot is open to anyone daily from 6am until midnight, and serves everything from breakfast to beverages, to shisha, right through to dinner.

And if you’re looking for a way to start your weekend off with a bang, the famous BBQ on the terrace is probably where you’ll want to be. Everything kicks off at 7pm, with live music and the wafting aroma of food sizzling away on the charcoals filing the air.

And if, like us, you’re more of a spectator than a participant in any kind of physical activity, forgo the hard work and park yourself in a sunny spot and relax with a cold beverage while the rest of your group exerts themselves all afternoon. We know who’s winning in that situation.

BBQ tickets are Dhs130 for an adult, and Dhs80 for a child – under 6’s go free.
